Local Roads Subvention
Overview
With basic road maintenance needs for local roads only partially covered by gas taxes and other sources, so many of our road are deteriorating. Funded primarily by anticipated future federal and state funds in combination with a new local dedicated transportation funding source, a subvention would be allocated to the jurisdictions in Placer County to put toward their own local transporation priorities such as road maintenance, safety, traffic
management, and other improvements.
Partners
PCTPA - As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) and Transportation Authority for Placer County, the PCTPA Board determines priorities for regional transportation projects. Once funding is identified, PCTPA is responsible for making sure project area on schedule and within budget.
Member Agencies - Placer County, City of Auburn, City of Colfax, City of Lincoln, City of Rocklin, City of Roseville, and Town of Loomis. Each agency prioritizes local transportation projects and needs within their respective jurisdictions and also work together to jointly fund projects that cross or connect between jurisdictional boundaries.
Status/Schedule
Currently without a dedicated local transportation funding source in Placer County, prioritized improvements and minimal road maintenance will be funded as exisiting funding sources allow.
