Fix Placer
Traffic is an effort by Placer County community leaders, citizens, and transportation experts to alleviate traffic congestion in our region by providing adequate local transportation facilities and by building the financial resources needed to maintain and enhance Placer County's transportation network.
Funding for transportation projects has been diminishing quickly, and the few major projects being built today in Placer County are a result of borrowing against future shares of state transportation funding. Those funds will be spent soon, and with local growth set to outpace our share of State and Federal funds for transportation, Placer will be left with little means to fund remaining critical projects.
This website provides information on the status of major transportation projects in the Placer area including those recently constructed, currently under construction, and those which currently lack funding.
